The charity old age home Bethesda is envisaged under Bethesda Charitable Trust., a registered one.

Bethesda plans to embark old age homes, centers for disabled people, educational institutions, etc, at various locations under the aegis of the trust. The home is sited at a cool, serene atmosphere, on the river bank in Puzhampallam near Puthur in the district of Thrissur at Kerala.

The old age home has a host of factors to its benefit like a natural village surroundings with a rustic appeal, very pleasant climate, clean, calm and serene atmosphere, committed and trained care takers, proximity places of worship and rich culture of Thrissur hospitality. The ambience is soothing and the amenities are not compromised in terms of luxury and comfort to the inmates.

The Chairman and overseas co-ordinator of the Bethesda, Mr. Benedict Maurice Dias, and his wife Dr. Thresia Dias PhD (Philanthropist), who is the Managing Trustee of the group, cherished a vision to provide peace and care to their parents even when away in Kuwait for more than 25 years.

This vision was translated into a mission when they set up a home in its literal sense for the seniors. Being a philanthropist, Dr. Thresia Dias PhD has been managing a centre in Kuwait for physically and mentally disabled people, helping many unfortunate people to lead a normal life. Her experience and care is an added advantage to the home.
